Reflections:
Throughout this project I was able to apply the concepts learned throughout the course to one of my 4-H Clubs: Ashe 4-H Shooting Sports Club. While some risk management aspects were already in place including required liability waivers for participants, this assignment allowed me to delve into other components that I hadn’t yet analyzed. In looking at some previous oversights, this risk management plan included the addition of pre-practice facility audits, an Emergency Action Plan that covered various circumstances, instructor certification requirements, and storage guidelines for practice equipment.

The inclusion of these components created a more comprehensive risk management plan for the club and has been beneficial in clarifying policies and adding layers of protection for the club. Throughout this project, I gained a better understanding of how to look at current programs and create a plan to ensure they are safe and effective.
